| Q. 1 Islam does not seek party politics supremacy but it envisages the supremacy of complete Islam. Please prove that you are in the right direction. |
| |
Ans: Politics and Islam are not mutually exclusive. Rather politics is an essential component of Islam. It is unfortunate that art and science of politics have been so much maligned by the valueless opportunists and narrow minded leaders that it has become synonymous with treachery and corruption. Even in the present deformed shape politics is an inevitable part of a civilised society.
In the view of PPI, the ultimate aim of politics is to establish a social order based on justice, equality, liberty, peaceful mutual existence and large hearted tolerance. Indeed it is according to the basic principles of Islam.
In another way the politics for a majority Muslim state is different from that of a country where Muslims are in minority. In majority Muslim state one can think of implementing the Shariah in a direct and forceful manner. Whereas, in a country where Muslims are in minority they can not do that. The only thing possible is that Muslims can carve an empowered and dignified position in the democratic and secular set up of the society.
PPI is of the opinion that without political empowerment no minority community can practice even its rituals freely. In reality the effort of the PPI is to make Indian Muslims politically empowered and socio-economically advanced so that they can practice and propagate their religion freely and in a dignified manner.

| Q. 2 You should work to establish Islam rather than create party politics against non-muslims. Please explain. |
| |
Ans: PPI is not to create party politics against non-muslims. It is a positive approach for making Muslims aware of their political rights and empower them politically and socially. PPI will preach and practice social harmony among Indian citizens. This will provide a conducive atmosphere for better interaction between Muslims and r non-muslim citizens of India in a positive and meaningful way on an equal plane.
Furthermore, PPI is a political party of Indian Muslims which will try to realise the aspirations of the Indian Muslims within secular and democratic framework of the Indian constitution. There are many socio-religious organisations of Muslims which are working for establishment and propagation of Islamic principles in the religious sense. PPI will collaborate with them in every possible manner and will also seek their support for PPI activities.

| Q. 3 What your Muslim political party can give to Muslims that religious organizations have not yet or failed to deliver? |
| |
| Ans: PPI is a political organisation of Indian Muslims and its domain is different from that of a religious organisation. It will give political direction to the Muslim community and break their political inertia and isolation. It will make effort for political empowerment and socio-economic advancement of the Indian Muslims. Since it is not the aim of Muslim religious organisations they need not deliver this. Their activities are mostly academic or social reform oriented. We can collaborate with them in a mutually beneficial manner.
|
| |
 |
| Q. 4 What do you expect religious organizations to do for your Muslim political party? |
| |
| Ans: PPI expects from religious and social organisations to support political activities of any Muslim organisation. Without political empowerment of Indian Muslims religious seminaries, mosques, holy book, life & property, honour and dignity can not be protected nor any social or educational agenda can be implemented. It is in the interest of those organisations themselves that they extend their hand for support to PPI and in return seek the support of PPI or any other political organisation of Indian Muslims.
|
| |
 |
| Q. 5 Why should religious organizations support you while they already enjoy the support of their followers?
|
| |
| Ans: PPI is pursuing a different agenda which will ultimately benefit the Indian Muslims as a whole including the followers of these religious organisations. Therefore, it is in the interest of these organisations and their followers themselves that they cooperate and collaborate with PPI in symbiotic manner.
|
| |
 |
| Q. 6 What minimum unifying points you propose to deliver to the religious organisations in order to attract their combined support?
|
| |
Ans: PPI considers religious organisations as its valuable strength and asset. It is in the priority list of PPI that assault on culture and civilization of Muslims and on Islam itself by the anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim fascist forces is combated effectively and timely. For this purpose religious organisatons can provide theoretical background and strategic guidelines to PPI in its endeavour to protect Islamic civilisation and culture from the assault of enemies.
Furthermore, PPI can provide political umbrella to these religious organisations if they want to propagate their ideology with missionary zeal provided that it is within the constitutional framework of India.

 |
| Q. 7 Can you prove that Islam allows you to create such a political party in a society like India?
|
| |
| Ans: In Indian society Muslims are in minority and not politically empowered and socio-ecoiiomically or educationally at par with their non-muslim fellow citizens. This situaton is bound to worsen further if no timely and effective corrective measures are taken. PPI visualises this situation similar to the early Meccan period of Islam when Muslims were coerced by majority. In that situation they skillfully organised themselves politically and socially to protect themselves from the assaults of Mushrikin'. Even when the holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) migrated to Madina, he formed social and political alliance with the Jews of Madina in order to provide better governance to Madina as a City State. This situation provides guidelines for the Muslims living in non-muslim majority country like India. We should take inspiration from Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) in order to politically empower the Indian Muslims so that they can live in dignified manner not only as Indian citizen but as an integral part of the global Muslim Ummah also.
|
Q. 8 How do you plan to convince religious scholars of your community?
|
| |
Ans: Religious scholars are already convinced that Muslims of India should unite politically to carve their space in the secular and democratic set-up of the country. A lot of debate and discussion on the topics has already taken place and now it seems to be consensus that Muslims should organise themselves politically not only for their political empowerment but also for their cultural survival if they wish to live in their own country with national honour social dignity.
From the answers of the questions no. 1 to 8 it can be very well appreciated that the arguments formulated by PPI, are substantial and concrete. However, if specific enquires are put forward, PPI will be enlightened and it will be in a better position to explain its position in this context.
